Terms of Service & Marketplace Agreement
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Applicable to California Residents & Service Partners
1. Nature of the Marketplace Venue (Neutral Facilitator)
Cleaning Services Partners (“CSP,” “we,” “our,” or “the Platform”) operates an online directory and quote-comparison platform connecting residential and commercial property owners or managers (“Clients”) with independent cleaning and maintenance businesses (“Service Partners”) across California.
CSP IS NOT A CLEANING COMPANY, JANITORIAL EMPLOYER, GENERAL CONTRACTOR, OR INSURANCE UNDERWRITER. CSP does not perform cleaning services, does not employ or supervise cleaners, and does not control the methods, materials, pricing, or schedules of any Service Partner listed on the Platform. All contracts for cleaning services are formed directly and exclusively between the Client and the selected Service Partner.
2. Credential Screening & Independent Verification Disclaimer
When a Service Partner applies to join the Platform, CSP requests documentation of business entity registration (such as an EIN or California business license) and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) indicating general liability coverage at the time of onboarding.
However, insurance policies and licenses can lapse, be canceled, or contain exclusions. CSP makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any Service Partner's license, insurance policy, or background screening is active or sufficient at the time your service is performed. Clients are expressly advised to request and verify a current Certificate of Insurance and written scope of work directly from their chosen Service Partner before granting property access.
3. Independent Contractor Relationship (California Labor Code § 2776)
All Service Partners participating on the Platform represent and warrant that they are independently established business entities operating in compliance with California law, including the business-to-business and referral agency provisions of the California Labor Code, and that they maintain full autonomy over their personnel, rates, equipment, and performance of work.
4. 24-Hour Partner Quality Pledge
Participating Service Partners agree as part of their marketplace participation standards to address reasonable scope-related touch-up requests reported by the Client within twenty-four (24) hours of service completion. This quality pledge is fulfilled directly by the performing Service Partner. CSP facilitates communication between the Client and the Service Partner to help coordinate resolution, but CSP assumes no financial or operational liability for service rework or property claims.
5. Limitation of Liability & Release
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Cleaning Services Partners, its owners, affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or property damages arising out of or relating to the conduct, acts, omissions, negligence, or services of any Service Partner or Client using the Platform.
